After founding a distillery in 1996 and distilling high-quality mezcals for two decades, Douglas French expanded his craft in 2014 to create Sierra Norte^®, the first Mexican whiskey brand available in the world. He developed a 50,000-square-foot space into a sustainable production facility that boosts the local economy and transforms native Oaxacan heirloom corn from colorful crops into the hand-crafted, barrel-aged, award-winning line of Sierra Norte whiskies.
